Manuel is the General Manager of díadía Practimercados in Venezuela, were he has been a promoter and partner since 2004. He is the Principal Director of the National Association of Supermarkets and Allied (ANSA). After graduating in Economics from the Universidad Santa María in Caracas (1984), he pursued a Master in Economics and Administration at the Universidad Central de Venezuela (1991) and Tax Management degree from the Universidad Metropolitana (Venezuela, 2005). His professional career started in 1984 as a financial analyst at the External Private Debt technical office for the Ministry of Finance. Later he worked as a Marketing Manager in an Argentine publishing company, with subsidiaries in several countries of Latin America and Spain.
He has been a Financial Advisor and Manager at consulting companies of Engineering in Venezuela, for the Technical-Economic Evaluation of projects in both the electrical and oil industry. Between 1992-2003, he worked for the state power company PDVSA, where he coordinated and executed the economic evaluations that supported the Business Plan, and the Investment Portfolio in the area of Refining, Supply and Trade, as well as an economic advisor in the development of new businesses in the area of Refining, Electricity and Petrochemical, both in Venezuela and abroad.
